Olive oil ice cubes are not only eye-catching, but also a sophisticated way to enhance drinks or dishes with delicate flavors. Especially in summer, they give your water, cocktails, or even savory dishes such as grilled vegetables or pasta a surprising flavor boost.
-150 ml organic olive oil
- 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
- tsp peppercorns
1. Prepare an ice cube tray.
2. Place a small piece of rosemary and 1–2 peppercorns in each mold.
3. Fill with olive oil.
4. Place in the freezer for at least 4–5 hours.
5. Remove as needed and add to drinks, hot pasta, or soups.
The ice cubes are also ideal for frying meat or vegetables directly in the pan with a kick of flavored olive oil.
